An Inconvenient Sequel – Jan. 28th
On Sunday, January 28th, at the Rialto Theater, the Bozeman Doc Series and the Bozeman Dharma Center will host a special event featuring a screening of the film “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power,” and a talk by Dr. Cathy Whitlock, the lead author of the 2017 Montana Climate Assessment.
A decade after AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH brought climate change into the heart of popular culture, comes the riveting and rousing follow-up that shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution. Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy. Cameras follow him behind the scenes — in moments both private and public, funny and poignant — as he pursues the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.
The event begins at 7, with a talk by Dr. Cathy Whitlock, ‘Will Montana be “Inconvenienced” by Climate Change?’.
Additional sponsors Montana Conservation Voters, Bozeman Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and Gallatin Progressive Action Network will be on hand before and after the event to offer moviegoers a way to make a difference on climate.
