On Thursday, December 15th, at 7pm at the Emerson Center, the Bozeman Doc Series continues with the Montana premiere of the critically acclaimed new documentary, Wildcat.
Wildcat follows the emotional and inspiring story of a young veteran (Harry Turner) on his journey into the Amazon. Once there, he meets a young woman (Samantha Zwicker) running a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center, and his life finds new meaning as he is entrusted with the life of an orphaned baby ocelot. What was meant to be an attempt to escape from life turns out to be an unexpected journey of love, discovery, and healing.
Wildcat world-premiered this fall at the prestigious Telluride Film Festival.
“A riveting journey into the wild. The South American ocelot at the center of this tale of animal rescue and liberation will attract audiences, but the human characters in this saga hold at least as much appeal…[it’s] a wildlife doc full of human feeling.” The Hollywood Reporter
“Along with supplying ravishing landscape and wildlife imagery and a taut story, producer-directors Trevor Beck Frost and Melissa Lesh have created something more impressive: a compelling and sometimes harrowing psychological documentary of two people who are living, in every conceivable sense, on the edge.” Telluride Film Festival
“A documentary film that provides a window into a rarely seen, often misunderstood world of extraordinary beauty, lush biodiversity and deep emotion. Wildcat explores the redemptive power of nature and wildlife through the eyes of three singular beings.” Bainbridge Currents
This film is rated R for language and some disturbing scenes.
